Where I attend on the Gold Coast
- Workplaces across the Gold Coast, for disciplinary, performance, grievance, investigation and redundancy meetings
- Courts: the Southport and Coolangatta Magistrates Courts, and the District Court at Southport, including QCAT minor civil dispute matters heard locally
- Mediation with private mediators, and at venues arranged by workplaces, lawyers or the Queensland Government's Dispute Resolution Centres
- Other appointments, such as university hearings, specialist appointments and agency meetings
Planning around the travel
Beside You is based on the Sunshine Coast, so I plan Gold Coast bookings carefully. I arrive early, and for longer days, like a full mediation or a court list that runs late, I keep the whole day free.
If your meeting is at short notice, tell me straight away. I'll be honest about whether I can get there in person. If I can't, I can join by video or phone instead.
What to bring on the day
- The letter, notice or email inviting you to the meeting or hearing
- Any documents you've been asked to bring, plus a copy for yourself
- Your own notes: the points you want to make and the questions you want answered
- Water and something to eat, especially for a court or mediation day
- Your phone, charged, with my number saved. I'll send it when we confirm the booking.
We'll go through your list together on the preparation call, so you walk in knowing you have what you need.
What I do, and what I don't
I sit beside you, take notes and type them up within 24 hours. I ask for breaks or for questions to be repeated, handle the little things, and debrief with you straight afterwards.
I don't give legal, HR or medical advice, speak for you, or act as your advocate. That boundary is what makes a support person welcome in the room.
Booking on the Gold Coast
Every booking starts with a free 15-minute call and a written quote that includes travel, so there are no surprises. I'm available Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, and weekends by arrangement. For long hearing or mediation days, ask about the hearing or mediation day option.
